About Lisbon Cemetery
The Lisbon United Methodist Church Cemetery is located at 20048 Highway 2 in Lisbon, Louisiana. Lisbon is a rural community in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, and is the only village in the state of Louisiana.
The earliest recorded burial is that of Robert G. Duke in 1851.
The cemetery is maintained by the Lisbon Cemetery Committee. It is supported entirely by donations. All burials must be approved by the committee. Prior to marking or digging a gravesite, please contact one of the cemetery members listed below:

Grant Killgore (318) 548-1309
In addition, if you wish to reserve space in the cemetery, they should be please contacted.
The Cemetery Committee has completed the process of inventorying all burial plots in 2017. We are currently working to provide photographs, not only of those buried in the cemetery but of the headstones for each grave. This will be an ongoing project for the next several years.
In 2016 the committee had the trees in the cemetery trimmed and treated for disease. Hopefully, this will ensure many more decades of shade under these majestic trees.
